Marie 42 degrees.  For Lansing and Houghton Lake this inside warmest December minimum temperature ever recorded.  This was section of a very warm December which was the eleventh warmest for Grand Raids, ninth warmest for Detroit, the 4th warmest for Flint and also the fifth warmest for Saginaw.

In 2007, a significant lake effect snowstorm dumped as much as 10 inches of snow over portions of Huron and Sanilac Counties. Several dominate lake effect snow bands made their way onshore with snowfall rates approximately two inches per hour in the morning. Some of the higher snowfall reports received included Richmondville 10.0 inches, Deckerville 8.0 inches, Forestville 8.0 inches, and Harbor Beach 7.0 inches.
